Sketches of Layout

I decided to sketch ideas for the layout of my contents page, front cover and double page spread. I drew them on an a4 piece of paper and took a photograph. Underneath i have annotated the sketches saying what will go where on my page.

Mastheads

Here i have created my own mastheads. I thought of 5 possible names my magazine could be. I also created my own designs of my mastheads which are shown underneath.

Here i have annotated 3 mastheads from some music magazines. I have done this to help me create my own masthead ideas. Next i will sketch some of my own mastheads.

This is my collage that i created which represents the target audience for my music magazine. My Magazine will mainly be based on indie, rock, pop and some other mixes of music.

New Task - Music Magazine - Photographs of current music magazines

In this post there are photographs from three big music magazines i have collected and photographed. One is called 'Q', one is FHM the music issue and the other is 'KERRANG'. Later on i will annotate these photographs for my new task which is to create a music magazine front cover, contents page and double page spread.

This post shows an explanation of my final front cover design.
