Feedback

After finishing my music magazine task I decided to ask my peers for some feedback on what they thought.
I got 3 people from my targeted audience to comment on what they liked about my front cover, double page spread and contents page. I then got them to comment upon things they liked in my designs and some things they did not

Feedback: Front Cover
"I like the vibrance of the colours on the page especially the brightness of the masthead as it really stands out. The co-ordination of the colours on the page and the photograph is very good. The blue in the models clothing and the blue of the writing works very well although, the blue writing merges in the background a bit too much on some of the page so it is difficult to read. I think the front cover looks very youthful and overall very aesthetically pleasing"

Feedback: Contents Page
I really like the composition of the photograph on this page. The setting/location of the shot is beautiful and looks very professional. On the page i like position of the writing on the left hand side. I like the different coloured fonts (black and blue) as they stand out on the page. Overall i think this page is very effective and appealing to the attended audience.

Feedback: Double Page Spread
I think the layout of this double page spread is very commendable in the sense it looks professional, just how you would see it appear in a real music magazine. The images used in the article are showing off the artist's personality which is very important when trying to portray an honest idea of who the artist really is. The images are clear and well laid out on the page. The background behind the text is of a very complementary colour to that of the artists clothes and eyes contrasting the two very well. I like the 'S' seen behind the text as layered text / images are often used in real magazines making Lucy's seem that bit more professional. The layout of the text is very good; it is set out clearly making it easy to read and follow, the typography of it is in a clear font, that also corresponds to the rest of the magazine. Although i do think that the 'By Lucy Alessandra Hutchinson' should perhaps be a bit smaller. As these credits are not usually written very big as they are not as important as the actual article itself. The purple used in the artists name 'Sidonie Stone' is a very well selected colour as it leaves the background and jumps at you but isn't over emphasized and wild.
